Proposed development
The scheme consists of the provision of traffic calming on a rural section of the N25 National Primary Route at its junction with the R738 and the L3022 approximately 3.5 km west of Wexford Town. The works include new footpath and cycling infrastructure, islands in the centre of the road, new drainage, new lighting, upgrading the access into the existing pedestrian underpass, realigning the regional road junction, plaining and relaying the road surface within the scheme. New lining and studs will also be installed. The works will require the purchase of a small section of land to accommodate the footpath and cycling infrastructure.
