Proposed new 110kV substation to be located within the boundary of the consented Dennistown Solar Energy Development by way of a 110kV underground grid connection to Wexford 110kV substation

Proposed development will form part of the Greenlink Interconnector and will consist of the development of a new converter station, tail station, MV substation and 23km of high voltage direct current (JVDC) electricity cables, 420m of high voltage alternating current (HVAC) cables, 23.42km of fibre optic cable and all associated site works with an overall proposed development site area of 83.8ha.

A 10 years for a development comprises of a 110kV 4-bay C-type electricity substation (with 33kV customer compound) (including two control buildings, lightning protection, perimeter security fencing, security lighting, drainage infrastructure, temporary construction compound) to connect to and serve a proposed solar farm (under Wexford County Council Reg. Ref. 20191272); associated loop-in infrastructrue to tie into an existing 110kV overhead transmission line including underground 110kV cabling and 2 No. new end masts with 110kV line diversion cabling; vehicular entrance and access track from the public road; all associated site development works including formation of berms and landscaping.

A mixed-use development which includes a six-storey hotel, six-storey car park, five-storey residential building, three five-storey office buildings, two-storey cultural/performance centre, two-storey mixed-use restaurant/caf?/specialist retail building, new sea wall around the existing Trinity Wharf site, 64 berth floating marina and all other site infrastructure works and ancillary works.

Proposed electrical substation and associated 110kV and MV infrastructure required to connect ground-mounted solar PV generation to the electricity transmission and all associated ancillary site development works.
