For acoustic, noise & vibration consultants

The planning files asking for more information, before the noise assessment is commissioned.

When a council asks an applicant for further information, the design team goes looking for specialists. We track every open request across the 31 councils and the job types that tend to need acoustic input, so you can reach them while the brief is still being written.

The old way

A noise assessment is usually commissioned in the weeks after the council's request, and by the time the applicant's name is anywhere you can find it, they have already picked a consultant.

There's a faster way to the work.

What you get

Built around how acoustic, noise & vibration consultants actually win work

Open requests, as they happen

Every application where the council has asked for more and the applicant has not yet answered, with the date requested and the six-month response clock. This is the moment specialist reports are commissioned.

The job types that need acoustics

Narrow to plant and battery storage, data centres, industrial and warehouse units, bars, restaurants and venues, schools and larger housing schemes, by council and by size.

Grid and plant

Battery storage and substation applications, which commonly turn on operational noise, sit on their own filters, with the applicant organisation where a company applied.

Who is behind the job

On Max, the applicant organisation where a company applied, with Company 360 listing every other scheme it is behind. Private applicants are never stored or profiled.

Told the week it lands

Save the filter and get a weekly email with the rows attached. On Max, a signed webhook fires when a matching request first appears, and the list exports to CSV.

A feed built to your term list

On Enterprise we build a custom feed around your own terms (noise assessment, noise impact, plant noise, sound insulation and so on): an acoustic flag on every open request and, where the council publishes the request letter and the applicant's filed documents, a flag on those that ask for or contain noise, sound, acoustic or vibration work. Scoped with you, not an off-the-shelf filter.

In your plan

  • Open further-information feed with response clock
  • Filters by council, job type and size
  • Battery storage, data centre and industrial filters
  • Applicant organisation and Company 360 (Max)
  • Saved searches, weekly alerts, CSV export
  • Webhooks and API key (Max)
  • Custom acoustic feed built to your spec (Enterprise)

Questions installers ask

How do I find planning applications that may need a noise assessment?

Start with applications where the council has asked for further information and the applicant has not answered. Filter by the job types that commonly need acoustic input, such as plant, battery storage, data centres, industrial units, bars and venues, schools and larger housing schemes.

Does PlanningLeads read the council's further information letter?

Not as a standard feature. For a custom Enterprise feed we can read the request letter and the applicant's filed documents where the council publishes them, and flag those that ask for noise, sound, acoustic or vibration work. That is scoped per customer and currently covers a minority of councils.

How many further information requests are open?

Around 1,800 are open at any time, with roughly 750 new requests a month across the 31 councils.
