Proposed development
The proposed works at the 12th Wexford Ballykelly Scout Den are funded under the CLÁR 2026 Grant and comprise minor refurbishment and improvement works to the existing building. The insulation proposed is internal insulation only, with no external insulation or alteration to the external appearance of the building. There will be no external painting or murals; all painting and decorating works will be internal. Heating works are limited to the provision/replacement of electric heaters only. No new central heating system or heat pump system is proposed. The existing building currently contains two toilets. It is proposed to rationalise these into one unisex toilet, with no increase in the overall number of toilets or associated increase in wastewater loading. On this basis, there is no rationale for an upgrade to the existing wastewater treatment system
