Proposed development
The proposed development comprises the construction of 4 no. temporary construction compounds in lieu of 4 no. temporary construction compounds previously approved within the red-line boundary of the consented Ballylough Solar Farm (Planning Ref. 20231025). The proposed replacement temporary construction compounds will have areas of approximately 1,925sqm, 832sqm,791sqm and 800sqm, respectively. The compounds will be located at the following ITM coordinates: Construction compound 4(1,925sqm): 700455.59, 648944.87 Construction compound 3(832sqm): 699200.26, 647558.79 Construction compound 2(791sqm): 699245.93, 647221.41 Construction compound 1(800sqm): 699095.61, 646459.64 Solar PV arrays were previously approved at the locations of the consented temporary construction compounds. It is proposed to pursue an accelerated programme for the construction of these arrays following the removal of the consented compounds. Solar arrays were previously approved in the areas of the newly proposed temporary construction compounds. It is now proposed that these arrays will be developed following the decommissioning of the said compounds. The proposed compounds are located entirely within the approximately 55ha red-line boundary of the consented Ballylough Solar Farm
