The shed was of timber structure in need of repair. The wall was part solid block and timber again in need of repair. This shed and the part of the wall in need of repair was replaced by a solid block. According to Section 57 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 the works do not materially affect the character of the protected structure, neither the shed nor the boundary wall possess any recognised architectural merit, design quality, decorative significance or attribution to distinguished architects or craftsmen. The replacement of the shed and part of the wall in disrepair could reasonably could be viewed as an improvement to the curtilage, supporting rather than detracting from the protected structure's setting
