Plan to develop an area within Caim Community Park specifically to facilitate the teenagers in the locality. The park currently caters for children under 14 years of age. Proposal to purchase funky sculptural seating (Boa Seating) to attract teenagers to our park. They can sit or lie on these seats, creating a space specific for teenagers to hang out on. Would also like to include a chess table in the community park. Chess is very popular in the community with teenagers at present. Three of the local secondary schools recently held open evenings and all three noted that they have a waiting list to join the chess club within their school. This, along with the dedicated hang out teenager seating area in Caim Community Park, would provide teenagers with some non-sporting activities to participate in. Finally, would like to purchase 2 cylinder wheel benches, adding a covered seating area to our park. These are creative and modern to attract the teenagers to sit in them. Being uniquely shaped, offering plenty of shade and shelter, they would add the perfect finish to the teenage hang out area. All the above will ensure inclusion, giving young teenagers of all walks of life (all genders, all ability and all nationalities) a place of security to hang out and be free from prejudice and discrimination. It will be a place of respite for teenagers, where they can meet friends outdoors in a modern open space in their natural environment. Caim Community Park provides a safe natural outdoor meeting place of inclusion of all teenagers
