Protected Structure ref WCC1264. Repair and restoration work to 5 windows in the area of the building that houses an Early Years Service. Restoration work on 5 windows (photos attached), each window to have new double glazed hardwood sashes, putty pointed and spray painted in workshop. Existing sash boxes to be repaired where necessary scraped back to original wood, primed and finish painted on site. All windows to have new pulleys, rope, weights, locks lifts, and pull rings. All existing parting and staff beads to be replaced with new fully brush sealed beads. There will be no alteration to the design or appearance of the restored windows. The works are needed in order to preserve the existing sash boxes, eliminate draughts and improve the energy efficiency of the building. Works to be carried out by John Banville, Artisan and Window Restoration, https://ie.linkedin.com/in/john-banville-964850127 who is a competent contractor for these proposed works, with many years of experience with refurbishment works on wooden sash windows. This application is in relation to an application for grant funding - Climate Action and there's a deadline for this for 6th March 2024.
