The licence is for the 2024 Wexford Festival Opera opening night fireworks festivities at the Quay Front, Wexford on October 18th 2024. It is expected that 20,000 people will attend the event. A proposal, including a draft plan for the management of the event, in respect of the proposed event may be inspected at the offices of the Planning Authority

Permission was granted on 13 Sept 2024. Third parties may appeal within four weeks; after that the permission is final and works can start once a commencement notice is lodged.
