Proposed development

Uisce Eireann intend to apply for planning permission for development at Oldtown and Ballyboughal wastewater treatment plants, the R129 regional road from Oldtown to Ballyboughal, and the county road from Grange junction to Lispopple. The proposed development is located in the townlands of Oldtown, Wyanstown, Leastown, Westpalstown, Murragh, Grange, Drishoge, Scatternagh and Lispopple. The development will consist of upgrading capacity at Wastewater Treatment facilities at Oldtown and Ballyboughal by reassigning use of the Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) to wastewater pumping/storage facilities and forwarding their combined wastewater loads, via development of new rising mains on the road network, for treatment at Swords WWTP (Discharge license D0024-01). [Detailed description of decommissioning and construction works at both plants, installation of underground pipework on 8.4kms of roadway, and associated site development works.]
