Proposed development

the construction of an anaerobic digestion facility to produce renewable biomethane, CO2 (which will be captured), and a bio-based fertiliser from organic material. The total gross floor area of the proposed development (including internal plant areas and ancillary structures) will be c. 3,482 sq.m. Please refer to the application form attachment for details of what the development will consist of. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and a Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the planning application. An EPA-Industrial Emissions Directive (IE) licence will be applied for to facilitate the operation of the proposed development.

The council recorded a decision on 25 Feb 2025. The official file has the outcome; a third-party appeal is possible within four weeks of the decision.
