Proposed development
The upgrade and extension of the existing Curry Wastewater Pumping Station: 1. Alterations to the existing Wastewater Pumping Station, comprising: a) Demolition and removal of existing wet well, valve chamber, flowmeter chamber and control kiosk. 2. Construction of a new Wastewater Pumping Station, comprising: a) Below ground construction of wet well, and emergency storage tank with 24 hours storage capacity, air valve chamber, flowmeter chamber and interconnecting pipework and manholes. b) Above ground construction of control kiosk, welfare kiosk, vent stack and ESB mini pillar. c) Construction of new timber fencing. d) Proposed hard and soft landscaping works to include screen planting. e) All associated ancillary works including site works and temporary working areas. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted with the planning application. All of the above is proposed on a site of approx. 0.1356 Ha . The planning permission sought is for 10-years.
