1) The construction a new Firewater Retention (FWR) facility; 2) The construction a new FWR lifting station and dedicated FWR diversion pipe; 3) The construction of new single storey FWR Utilities Building c. 9.5m x c. 7.0m x c. 5.0m high; 4) The alteration/modification to the existing surface water (SW) and process water (PW) drainage networks to facilitate the diversion of the FWR run-off and interconnection with the new FWR diversion pipe; 5) The alterations/modifications to the existing surface finishes and gradients to facilitate the division of the site into the smaller nominated catchment areas; 6) The demolition of the existing derelict furniture store on the Lodge Road; 7) The construction of a new 152 no. bay car park located to the east of the site in replacement of the existing derelict furniture store on the Lodge Road to be demolished; 8) The construction of a new 119 no. bay car park located to the west of the site adjacent to the existing entrance to the B2 Building; 9) The alterations/extension of the existing permanent contractor’s construction compound north of the Innovation Centre Building, including the construction of a new overflow car park (that currently accommodates 78 no. car parking bays for contractors only) located to the north side of the Campus; and 10) The construction of all associated works including alterations and additions to the existing external tanks, vessels, plant, equipment, external pipe bridge, underground services, external site works such as internal access roads, footpaths, lay down areas, hardstanding areas, external lighting, etc.

What happens next

Permission was granted on 22 Jan 2025. Third parties may appeal within four weeks; after that the permission is final and works can start once a commencement notice is lodged.
