Proposed development
a 10-year planning permission for development of a sewerage scheme including: (1) The construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant at Corgrig, Foynes, including rising mains discharge chamber, inlet works with screen, flow distribution chamber with flow monitoring, 2 no. primary settlement tanks with splitter chamber, sludge pumping station and sludge holding tank, storm storage tank, tidal tank, control building, surface water drainage network including swale and surface water drainage interceptor, site lighting (both task lighting and road lighting), boundary fencing, landscaping and biodiversity enhancements, solar panels on block mounted frames, and entrance scheme signage. Access to the wastewater treatment plant will be provided via a proposed new entrance from the L6118 public road; (2) Decommissioning of assets, demolition and replacement of the existing pump house at Brandon Cottages/Woodvale Road with new Terminal Pump Station, to include storm and foul pump stations, storm tank, gantry, above ground valve kiosks, overflow chamber with screen, inlet and overflow manholes and interconnecting pipework, Bauer connection, control building, vent stack, new access gate and footpath, landscaping and architectural design treatments of site, and all ancillary site development works on Woodvale Road (L6156); (3) Demolition of existing assets and construction of a new combined discharge manhole with connecting pipework to existing marine outfall, a new rodding manhole chamber and a new marine outfall with extension to the existing outfall pipe at Colleen Point; (4) Foul water rising main between the Wastewater Treatment Plant site and Terminal Pump Station comprising the laying of pipework within public roads (L6156, N69, L6118) and within private lands in Corgrig, including stream and culvert crossings on L6118; (5) Pumped storm overflow pipeline from the Terminal Pump Station to the combined discharge manhole and into the Shannon Estuary through the existing / new marine outfall comprising the laying of pipework within public roads (L6156 and N69) and within the car park of Foynes View Point, including culvert and river (River Glencorby) crossings on the N69 road; (6) Construction of a new pumped treated effluent pipeline from the wastewater treatment plant to the combined discharge manhole and into the Shannon Estuary through the existing / new marine outfall comprising the laying of pipework within private lands in Corgrig, public roads (L6156, N69, L6
