Proposed development

The proposed development will consist of: • Lateral extension of the existing permitted extraction area (QY082) over c. 1 ha to a final quarry floor level of c. -20 mOD (to match the existing excavated floor level within the permitted extraction area); • Progressive restoration and final restoration of the application area to natural habitat / biodiversity-led after-use following completion of extraction; • All related ancillary development and associated site works including the processing (crushing and screening) and stockpiling of materials; the provision of landscaped screening berms / overburden storage area; and all other associated quarry activities and works; • Retention of an extension to an existing workshop (183 m²); • The proposed development comprises a lateral extension only and will not increase output or hours of operation over and above those authorised under the existing planning permission(s). • The proposed development is within an overall application area of c. 1.6 hectares and is for a total period 15 of years.
