I, Jim O’Keeffe, wish to apply for planning permission for proposed development on site located at existing car parking area ancillary to Centra Supermarket, Bridge Street, Ballylongford, Aghanagran Middle, Co. Kerry. Proposed works: 1) alteration to the existing carpark layout, located to the east of Bridge Street, to accommodate the construction of new 24/7 unmanned fuel filling station consisting of 1 no. dispenser pump island dispensing fuel on each side, with canopy over and associated outdoor payment terminal and signage on canopy; 2) installation of new underground storage fuel tanks, and all associated fuel pipework, off-fill points and vents; 3) construction of new ancillary elec/comms service outbuilding to serve the proposed development; 4) alterations to the existing car park layout with provision of 1 no. EV charging space; 5) concrete slab surfacing, asphalt surfacing and associated drainage with the provision of new Class A Petrol interceptor; 6) construction of new footpath and boundary wall between Bridge Street and subject site, new site vehicular entrance and modification to existing entrance, provision of pedestrian crossing on Bridge Street and all associated road safety improvement works; 7) construction of all associated site features including landscaping and boundary treatments, public lighting and all associated site works.

What happens next

Permission was granted on 24 Feb 2025. Third parties may appeal within four weeks; after that the permission is final and works can start once a commencement notice is lodged.
