and completion of the modifications to the previously approved facility, including; minor relocation of pitch no.’s 1,2,3 & 4, together with associated alterations to pitch levels, minor relocation of associated lighting columns, omission of previously approved single storey machinery building, omission of previously approved standalone toilet block, omission of previously approved access ramp to pitch no. 3, omission of previously approved training/warm up area to the northeast of the site, omission of previously approved public playground, revised car parking layout (resulting in a change a reduction in car parking from 234 no. spaces to 225 no. spaces, and a reduction in bus parking from 6 no. spaces to 2 no. spaces), revised bike parking from 184 no. uncovered spaces to 96 no. covered spaces, alterations to internal roads layout and walkway layout, revised electric pole locations, provision of compound to southeast of pitch no. 1, which includes for 4 No. water storage tanks together with ESB Meter Room, M&E Plant Room and well water supply, provision of ESB Meter Room to east of pitch no. 3, provision of M&E Plant Room to east of onsite car park, provision of 2 No. temporary toilet/shower units (with connection to approved on site effluent treatment plant) for a period of 3 years, provision of 2 no. temporary changing room units for a period of 3 years, provision of disabled viewing area for pitch no. 1. Permission for modifications to the previously approved facility, including; construction of 1 no. single storey dressing room building (to include for public toilets) together with PV Solar panels to roof, installation of 3 no. flag poles and signage at entrance to approved car park, installation of score boards at Pitches 1 & 3, installation of concrete base dug outs at pitches 1 & 3, installation of a new sensory garden, relocation of hurling wall and adjoining storage sheds, provision of cowled lighting to hurling wall, together with all associated site works and services. The subject site is located within the curtilage of Protected Structures namely RPS No.’s 230 & 242

What happens next

Permission was granted on 16 Dec 2025. Third parties may appeal within four weeks; after that the permission is final and works can start once a commencement notice is lodged.
