7-year permission for development at a site of 1.7841 Ha at Powerstown Road and Damastown Avenue, Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15. The site is principally bound as follows: to the north by Powerstown Road; to the east by the grounds of Betania Church; to the south by undeveloped lands, beyond which is Damastown Avenue; and to the west by undeveloped lands. The site also extends to include parts of undeveloped lands to the north of the roundabout at Damastown Avenue, Damastown Avenue itself and Church Fields Link Road for road works, water infrastructure and services. The proposed development will principally consist of the construction of a Hindu Temple complex of 2,425 sq m total gross floor area in structures of 1 No. and 2 No. storeys, primarily comprising: temple building (1,019 sq m), dining hall building (327 sq m), community hall building (501 sq m) and administration building (508 sq m). The proposed development will also include: new multi-modal access at the south of the site as the northern arm of the Damastown Avenue roundabout; new pedestrian access at the north-east corner of the site at Powerstown Road; internal roads, footpaths and cycle lanes; 115 No. car parking spaces; cycle parking; bin stores; plant rooms; 3 No. guest rooms at first floor level of the administration building; flag mast and ceremonial forecourt; hard and soft landscaping; boundary treatments; public lighting; sub-station; and all other associated site and development works above and below ground.
