Installation of a 12-foot repurposed shipping container to be used as a commercial coffee kiosk at the Rush & Lusk Train Station (Rush side), Lusk, Co Dublin. The container will provide takeaway coffee, tea, and light refreshments to commuters and the general public during business hours (Monday to Saturday, 6.00 am to 11.30 am). The proposal is a continuation of an existing mobile coffee business (Canary Mellow) that has been operating at this location with a trailer unit since October 2022. No structural connection to the ground or utilities is proposed beyond temporary plug-in connections (eg electricity). The unit is designed to be fully self-contained, removable, and non-permanent. Section 57 Declaration - Clarification The proposed development does not involve any works to the protected structure itself. The container will be placed within the curtilage of Rush & Lusk Train Station but will be fully self-contained , removable, and non-permanent in nature. There will be no physical alterations or attachments to the protected station building, signal box, or any associated structures. As such, a Section 97 Declaration has not been requested, as the works are not considered to affect the character of the Protected Structure.
