Proposed development

Arora Dublin T2 Limited (Irish Branch) intends to apply for permission for development to amend a previously permitted development Fingal County Council Reg. Ref. F23A/0707 located at these site addresses Site A Hotel Site adjoins the T2 Multi storey Car Park to the north, Dublin Airport, townland of Corballis, Co. Dublin Site B Skybridge House Former TASC Building Dublin Airport, townland of Collinstown, Co. Dublin Site C Site Compound 1 is bounded by the T2 Departure Road to west and T2 Multi storey Car Park to the east, Dublin Airport, townland of Corballis, Co. Dublin and Site D Site Compound 2 is located to the east of Swords Rugby Club in townland of Stockhole, Co. Dublin. The development proposed under the subject application relates specifically to Site A Hotel Site. The development permitted on Site B, Site C and Site D is unaffected by this planning application. This proposal seeks to inter alia, make the following alterations to the consented scheme 1) The scheme consented under planning reference F23A/0707 included a 202 sqm space at L02 on the eastern end designated as DAA retail. This unit is accessed from the elevated link connecting T2 to the MSCP car rental centre which will pass through the hotel once completed. This application seeks to change use of this space from DAA retail to hotel use and will now fall within the operation of the hotel. 2) Add a 110sqm elevated external seating terrace/balcony which will be accessed from the unit described in point 1. This will require a minor alteration to the eastern gable at L02 to introduce doors to access the seating area. These doors replace fixed glazed curtain walling screens. 3) Condition number 11 of F23A/0707 and also condition 13 of F21A/0255 both relate to the signage on the building. These conditions stipulated that signage should not be internally illuminated. The applicant is seeking permission to internally illuminate all the facade signage. 4) Condition number 14 of F21A/0255 states that external lighting on the development shall be deflected downwards2. The applicant is making application to install facade lighting at low level and deflect upwards onto the building. 5) Minor modification to the North facade to add SOFITEL sign at NW corner high level.
