Planning permission ( a protected structure RPS Ref . 0404 ).The Development will consist of (I) Demolition of the existing two storey extension and associated toilet , structures and step to the side and rear , part demolition the existing single storey out-houses and garage stores to the side; (ii) Construction of a new single storey extension (110sqm) to the side and rear at lower ground floor level for a new kitchen /eating /living room and associated back of house amenities with new rooflights; (iii)external alterations including creating opening and enlarging existing window &door opening to link the new extension to the existing house at lower ground floor level, reinstating the original window opening to the side and rear at ground floor level; replacement of upvc windows with timber sash windows, enlargement of rooflight at first floor level; (iv) internal alterations including replacement of non-original floor to the lower ground level, removal of original and non-original walls and partitions, relocation of the kitchen, formation of doors openings at lower ground, ground and first floor levels, alterations to layout at first floor , provision of breathable insulation to walls, replacement of the bathrooms and plumbing installations;(iv)general refurbishment of the existing house (290qm) including repairs to the floors , windows facades and roof and associated conservation works; (v) alterations to the garden and front driveway including provision of an underground elevated car garage, landscaping , drainage, site works and ancillary works to facilitate the development.

What happens next

Permission was granted on 21 May 2024. Third parties may appeal within four weeks; after that the permission is final and works can start once a commencement notice is lodged.
