Proposed development
(i) The demolition of an existing two-storey dwelling and ancillary sheds; (ii) the construction of 30 no. apartments (including 24 no. one-bedroom units and 6 no. two-bedroom units) in two no. four-storey blocks fronting Brighton Road. Fourth storey will be set back. Each apartment will be provided with a terrace/ balcony; (iii) the construction of 21 no. houses (including 9 no. terraced two-storey three-bedroom units, 8 no. semi-detached two-storey four-bedroom units, and 4 no. detached three-storey five-bedroom units) all with skylights and rear gardens; (iv) provision of 60 no. car parking spaces (33 no. spaces to serve the apartments, 2 no. visitor spaces, and 25 no. spaces to serve the houses) and 4 no. motorbike parking spaces; (v) provision of 48 no. bicycle parking spaces located in secured bike stores at ground floor level of blocks A and B, and street level (36 no. long-stay spaces and 12 no. short-stay spaces); (vi) provision of public open space (2564 sq.m.) and communal open space (487 sq.m.); (vii) provision of a new vehicular/pedestrian access road, and 2 no. additional pedestrian entrances from Brighton Road; and (viii) provision of street lighting, internal roadways, footpaths, ESB substation, foul and SuDS surface drainage, landscaping, boundary treatments, and all ancillary infrastructural and engineering works necessary to facilitate the development.
