Proposed development

We, MKN Investments Ltd. and Ambasaid Ltd., intend to apply for planning permission for a development at Building 96, Omni Park Shopping Centre, Swords Road, Santry, Dublin 9. The development will consist of the partial demolition of the existing building, and construction of a 5-storey block, including 48 No. residential units, 3 no. retail units, a gym, and a cinema (a total gross floor area of 7,137 sqm), set out as follows: • 48 no. residential units, in a five storey block, located on first to fourth floor level comprising of 24 no. 1 bedroom apartments, and 24 no. 2 bedroom apartments; • At ground floor level 3 no. retail units (794 sqm), a gym (245 sqm), and a cinema (410 sqm) with existing restaurants and part of the existing cinema retained; • 24 no. car parking spaces are to be used re-allocated from the existing Omni Park car parking facilities to serve the residential element; • 102 no. cycle parking spaces are provided, including 24 no. visitor spaces and cargo bike spaces; • Communal open space, public open space and private open space in the form of balconies; and • All ancillary infrastructure, bike stores, bin stores, plant rooms, and landscaping to serve the development.

What happens next

The application was declared invalid by the council. A corrected application may be lodged again.
