Dublin City Council: Permission is sought by Salta Tyre & Autoservice Holdings Ltd for a development at 268-272 Kimmage Road Lower, Dublin 6W. The development will consist of the construction of a new two-storey car service centre with a total gross floor area of 412 sq.m. The development includes the partial retention and alteration of the existing two-storey former service station building, (60 sq.m.) which will be incorporated into the proposed development. The new ground floor (319 sq.m) will comprise a reception and waiting area (57 sq.m) and a car service area (262 sq.m) while the first floor (93 sq.m) will comprise a manager's office and staff facilities together with a mezzanine store overlooking the car service area. The development also includes the demolition of the existing disused service station canopy and, following the completion and occupation of the proposed car service centre; the subsequent demolition of the existing Atlas Auto Service building (289 sq.m), which was retained to facilitate the continued operation of the existing business throughout the construction period. The development further includes the provision of 24 car parking spaces and bicycle parking for both staff and customers, bin storage areas, a single new vehicular entrance rather than three existing, a two sided identification totem sign, including a digital section, identification signage on the new building and all associated site development works, landscaping, drainage, boundary treatments, utility connections and ancillary site services.
