The proposed alterations will result in the provision of a 113 no. bedroom (with a mix of accessible, twin-bed, four-bed, six-bed and eight-bed rooms) tourist hostel with ancillary bar/café/restaurant at ground floor level. The application relates to proposed development within the North Lotts and Grand Canal Dock Strategic Development Zone planning scheme area. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.
