Planning permission being sought for development at Cherry Orchard Football Club grounds D10 NY77 located to the rere of Cherry Orchard Hospital and bounded by new DCC housing development North-South link road and to the rere of properties on Blackditch Road and Elmdale Crescent. Applicant : Cherry Orchard Football Club. The development consists of the following ; a. new 9-a-side astro turf pitch (size 75mx50m) with new flood lighting installation (2 no, 18m high columns) on West side of the pitch b. 11-a-side existing grass pitch new flood lighting installation ( 6 no. 18m high columns) on both sides of pitch c. construction of new single storey steel frame/cladded gym building 4.7m high on the South side of existing 11-a-side grass pitch with associated male and female welfare facilities d. new generator shed 5m x 5m with metal cladding finish e. two new covered two tier stands with metal cladding finish (108 seats each with wheelchair access) 30m x 2.5m located on the North side of existing 11-a-side pitch f. two new covered 4 tier stands 8m x 3.6m with metal cladding finish (50 seats each) located on west side of of new 9 a side astro turf pitch g. two new covered 4 tier stands 8m x 3.6m (50 seats each ) located on south side of existing 11 a side grass pitch h. 4 new pitch dug outs 6m x 2.1m i. 5 no. cycle stand facilities (Shefield design) with min 10 cycle spaces in each j. new car parking spaces for 21 cars k. new surface water drainage system with on-site attenuation storage system and connected to public surface water sewer 1. new foul sewer system connected to Public sewer m. new boundary landscaping n. new permeable macadam/concrete walkways and exercise tracks (protected by new 1.2 metre high railed wire fences) o. installation of ball stop netting with Posts 4 & 6m high to North, East & South sides of new 9-a-side astro turf pitch p. installation of ball stop netting with posts 6m high at both ends of 11-a-side exist grass pitch q. installation of pole lighting to the walking/exercise route around the perimeter of the existing 11 -a-side grass pitch r. new pedestrian entrance gate in DCC boundary at North West corner from new North South link road s. new 4 metre wide internal vehicular access gates for emergency vehicles t. new fencing to segregate proposed 9-a-side astro pitch from grass training areas and all associated site works. An Appropriate Assessment Screening, Natura Impact Statement and Ecological Appraisal Report have been carried out and these reports accompany this planning application submission.
