The proposed works will include minor modifications to the building elevations, modifications to the entrance for universal access, construction of a plant room and a standalone storage shed, provision of PV panels, material change of use of existing dormitory accommodation to research labs/offices and a self-contained 2 bedroom apartment, widening of the existing entrance, provision of EV accessible parking and all associated works. The site is located in close proximity to the East Burren Complex Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and a Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the planning application
