Proposed development

We, Uisce Éireann, intend to apply for permission for development at this site: Ballyhaunis Wastewater Treatment Plant, Abbeyquarter, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, F35 KC91. The development will consist of proposed upgrades to the Ballyhaunis WWTP: Installation of new preliminary treatment, anoxic tank, aeration tank, final settlement tank, thickened sludge holding tank, sludge pumping kiosk, stormwater storage tank, reuse/washdown system, alkalinity dosing system, standby generator and fuel storage, attenuation tank and oil interceptor, PV panels, fencing, mechanical, electrical and associated site works. Decommissioning of existing screening, belt press conveyor, fencing and the sand filtration unit.
