Permission for development which consists of: We, The Select Vestry of St Nicholas Parish, intend to apply for permission at Saint Nicholas' Collegiate Church, H91 PY20 which is a registered Protected Structure (RPS No. 5001), NIAH Building (Reg No. 30314049), and a National Monument (SMR No. GA094-100037-). A ten-year permission is being sought. The development will consist solely of internal works to the church including: • The removal of the existing organ from the organ chamber in the St. Patricks Chapel and replacement with a new organ placed in the North Transept; • Works to ensure the suitability of North Transept floor to support the organ including replacement of the stone floor; • The removal of the modern partition, storage and double doors and integration of this area’s interface with historic fabric; and • All ancillary and associated development works.

Permission was granted on 18 Feb 2026. Third parties may appeal within four weeks; after that the permission is final and works can start once a commencement notice is lodged.
