Proposed development

Development on a 4.77 ha. site. The proposed development will comprise of an inert waste facility designed for (a) reception and utilisation of clean subsoil, soil, stone and rubble, for the purpose of improving low-lying wet and poorly drained agricultural land at the site, and (b) reception and upcycling (crushing and grading) of inert construction and demolition (C&D) waste material and its subsequent export to construction sites in the midlands region for use as secondary aggregate (replacing natural aggregates). The proposed site will have a new entrance road and gates off the existing Dublin Road (R446, old N6) with onsite parking, yards, wheel wash, weighbridge, portacabin office/admin hut, boundary fencing, and all associated site works. The development is for the purposes of an activity requiring a waste facility permit.
