CORK COUNTY COUNCIL. We, Amber Health Care Limited, wish to apply for full planning permission for proposed development works at existing single – storey 71 bed nursing home at Sheepwalk West, Fermoy, Co. Cork. Proposed works to include; 1) to construct new single – storey extension to existing nursing home to provide a purpose built 30 bed Dementia Care Unit, ancillary to existing nursing home, to consist of 3no. 10 bed household type accommodation blocks, with communal recreation areas, including new self – contained courtyards and secure sensory garden for use by all residents, 2) to construct new single – storey extension to existing kitchen / food preparation area, currently serving existing nursing home and to also serve proposed dementia care unit extension, to include proposed change of use of existing 1no. adjoining ensuite bedroom to form part of proposed kitchen extension / alteration, 3) extension and alterations to existing internal site access road arrangement to accommodate proposed development works; 4) provision of additional car parking to include provision of 2no. new E-Car spaces, staff and visitor parking with accessible spaces, motorcycle parking and new covered bicycle storage unit to serve existing nursing home and proposed dementia care unit extension, 5) installation of new PV solar panel units to serve existing onsite PV Solar Panel System, serving existing nursing home and to also serve proposed dementia care unit extension, to be ground mounted on support structures with proposed works to include alterations to existing boundary treatment and landscaping works, 6) installation of new wastewater treatment system to serve proposed 30 bed dementia care unit extension and 7) all associated site development works including site lighting, landscaping, drainage and boundary treatments.
