Proposed development

The development consists of Refurbishment works to the existing school building on the former site of Scoil an Athar Tadhg, to deliver a purpose-built special educational needs school. The works to be retained consist of; The construction of 3 no. pitched roofs and the replacement of existing flat roof areas; A rooftop plant area; Modifications to the existing window openings with the installation of windows and roof lights; A new entrance extension; Internal reconfiguration works to the former school building to provide 6 No. SEN Classrooms and associated ancillary accommodation in line with the Department of Education’s SGD-02-04 design guidance; External hard and soft landscaping to include soft play areas & sensory garden; Alterations to existing staff parking area to provide a new set-down area within curtilage and additional staff parking; Minor alterations to the existing pedestrian gate and external pathways to allow for universal access. And all associated site works
