Proposed development
The development will consist of: a physical extension of c.586 sq.m to existing electricity substation compound and will include: (1) site clearance works including removal of a) 8no. MV poles and associated overhead lines: b) existing MV busbar and electrical equipment: c) existing interface transformer bund: d) existing chainlink fence and entrance gates (onto both the L8060 road to the north and Tawnies Upper Laneway to the west): e) existing concrete post and wire fence: f) existing concrete plinths and cables: g) existing lighting: h) demolition of existing single storey control building (c.14.5 sq.m.): 2) provision of new eletrical plant and equipment including: a) 1no. prefabricated control room, GIS Modules, foundation and associated stair and platforms (c.183sqm) b) 2no. new 38kV/MV transformers (c. 4m high) with firewall (c.5m high) in new bunds and associated electrical equipment; c) 1no. new transformer bund for relocated interface transformer (c.2.38m high) with firewall (c.3m high) d) 2no. house transformers and associated bunds; e) associated and ancillary electrical equipment and other apparatus, including installation of underground cables; and f) site development works including the provision of bollards along the roadside edge; lighting; re-surfacing and internal access roads; new fencing and entrance gates including the enhancement of the existing site entrance; and provision of site services inlcuding underground cabling; drainage; and all other ancillary works. Planning permission is sought for a duration of 10 years.
