Proposed development

Permission for development which consist of decommissioning works to the existing waste water treatment plant (WwTP) located in Lisgoold North and proposed upgrade works to the existing wastewater treatment plant located in Lisgoold East. The development will consist of the following: 1) Decommission the existing treatment plant located in the townland of Lisgoold North. The existing plant comprises under ground tanks, mechanical equipment and palisade fencing. 2) Upgrade works to the existing treatment plant located in the townland of Lisgoold East. The existing plant is not operational but will receive diverted flow from Lisgoold North via a new gravity sewer pipeline in the R626. 3) The proposed upgrade works at Lisgoold East includes new chemical storage tanks, kiosk, proposed treated effluent outfall to the river with headwall, proposed storm drain outfall with headwall, proposed rock armour treatment on the east boundary with River Owenacurra, internal access road improvements, proposed solar PV panels on the existing building roof, upgrade to the existing boundary treatment including new screening hedge and lighting. 4) All associated site development works above and below ground. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the planning authority with the application.
